How to Use Reddit

Reddit is all about user-generated content that can be upvoted or downvoted by users. Submissions that get lots of upvotes move to the Hot page. The Most Popular page is a showcase of the best submissions from the past day, week, or month.

The Reddit community is divided into thousands of different communities, called “subreddits.” There are general interest subreddits like r/funny, r/pics, and r/gifs, as well as more specific ones like r/aww for cute animal pics, r/nosleep for horror stories, and r/askscience for questions about science.

To find a subreddit, just type the topic into the search bar on the top of the page. You can also browse by category if you’re not sure what you’re looking for.

How to Use Reddit

Now that you know a little bit about how Reddit works, it’s time to get started using it! Here are some tips:

– When posting something, be sure to choose the right subreddit. There’s nothing worse than posting a funny picture in r/math, for example.

– If you’re not sure whether something is appropriate for a particular subreddit, check the rules (found on the right side of the page). For example, r/funny has a rule that no posts about politics are allowed.

– When posting a link, be sure to give a brief description of what the link is about. This helps people decide whether they want to click on it.

– When posting a picture, be sure to put it in an album (click “add image” then “create album”) so that people can scroll through all the pictures in one go.

– When commenting on a post, upvote or downvote other people’s comments to give your opinion on them. Buy upvotes on Reddit if you want to get more exposure to your subreddits

– If you see a post that you like, you can share it by clicking the “share” button underneath it. You can share it on Facebook, Twitter, or Google+.

– You can also save posts for later by clicking the “save” button. This will add them to your “saved for later” tab, which you can access by clicking on the menu in the top left corner of the page.

– That’s just a taste of what Reddit has to offer! For more tips, check out this beginner’s guide to Reddit.
